My name is Maryanne and I’m a Wedding & Portrait photographer based in Yorkshire. I’ve been at this business for about 6 years now and I love it. I’m currently doing it part time while I learn more about business and photography, with the hope that one day I’ll be able to open my own natural light studio. I also dabble in cookbook writing (I’ve had 3 books published) and have a serious addiction to facebook.
The aim of the blog (other than for me to ramble about photography) is to help other photographers by demystifying what we do, providing inspiration, helpful tips on running a business and generally discussing photography. I love to read about how other photographers started and what make them tick, and what inspires them and I tend to spend hours surfing the net for photography related info, mainly just for me – so it made sense to combine everything in one blog.
I’m always on the look out for new photographers to interview and my biggest aim is to interview a few of my favourites like Jasmine Star, Tamara Lackey & Jessica Clare, not to mention my all time favourite Annabel Williams.
I love to review books, whether they are aimed at Photogs or any small businesses, and read as much as I can (if you have a book you would like me to review email me) and I like to review, or at the very least offer my opinion on new products and courses aimed at Photogs.
