Facebook Launches Questions...implications for Photographers

I have to admit to seeing this done on another blog but I think it has excellent implications for all of us.

Facebook recently launched their new “questions” section on both profiles and pages. So, rather than just asking quesions in your status and then reminding people to answer posting, you can create a mini poll or questionnaire as your status.

My idea for this might be to ask what people like best about Photographers Boutique:

“What do you like best about Photographers Boutique and what would you like to see more of?"

Next I'd add some potential answers and best of all there is an option open for others to create their own answers too – which could potentially make the results much more interesting.

Once I post the question, its then possible to invite friends to answer – which is great because then people dont have to either be online at that time to see it or be visiting your page frequently.

The downside of using it on the business pages though, is that when you “ask friends” to answer it, it uses your friends from your personal profile rather than the fans of your page. Which means, if you dont  have a personal account with friends you wouldn’t be able to invite people to answer. Though they will still see it as a status and if they visit your page!

I'm going to try it out...so stay tuned for my Photographers Boutique Poll!
